Session Preparation

It is important to prepare the body before having a Colon Hydrotherapy session.

DO NOT EAT ANYTHING 2 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR HYDROTHERAPY SESSION.

* Avoid spicy foods such as Mexican, Indian or Thai cuisine one day prior and the day of the session. Avoid foods that create gas such as broccoli, lettuce, rice, cauliflower, cabbage, beans, etc. Gas may cause discomfort during the session.

* It's important that the body be well hydrated for the session. We recommend water. Tea, soda, Kool Aid, coffee, and anything with caffeine is not recommended. It is okay to put lime or lemon juice in the water. Drink half of your body weight in ounces of water (e.g., weigh 200 lbs., drink 100 ounces of water) on a daily basis.

* If taking pain medication, anti-depressants, or anti-anxiety meds, please make appointments in the morning prior to taking the medication. Take your medication while on the table or right after the session.

* For a morning appointment, skip breakfast. If you feel hungry, try drinking juice.

* If your appointment is in the afternoon, eat a regular breakfast, such as oatmeal with apple slices. A light lunch (broth, vegetable soup or juice) is a good choice.

* For an evening appointment, eat a normal breakfast and light lunch, and eat foods that are easily digestible. Clear liquid-type soups work as a good meal option.
